May is in full swing, and as life is once again blossoming around us, we begin to see networking events designed to grow and reinforce business relationships in the Las Vegas and Henderson communities. Here are some of the highlighted events for this week.

Hosted by Laditude Meetings, this kickoff event is sure to make a splash onto the Las Vegas scene. The event offers a progressive networking forum, guest speakers and 10 businesses are given the opportunity to give their 60 second sales pitch. This Thursday, May 8 from 6:00-8:30pm the guest speakers will discuss social media strategies including how to present appropriate head shots. Ben Laifsky, CEO of Hunter Marketing Group will discuss how to help your business gain better visibility and increase sales, while Josh Hawkins, owner of Josh Hawkins Photography will not only discuss appropriate head shots, but will also be available to take one for attendees. Sure to be the networking event of May, make sure your business is represented.
Leadership Las Vegas Recruitment Mixer
For Las Vegas Metro Chamber of Commerce members that desire playing a larger role in the leadership, this recruitment mixer is a must-attend event. Alumni will be present, and all potential candidates for the Class of 2015 are invited to attend this complimentary event at Bar Vdara inside the Vdara Hotel & Spa. Space is limited, so it is suggested to RSVP for this event with the LV Metro Chamber.
Small Business Appreciation Day
Brought to you by the Las Vegas Urban League this half day workshop hosted Tuesday, May 13 from 9:30am-2:30pm at the Dr. William Pearson Community Center is intended to provide you with the “Tools for Success” small businesses need. This is a Free Event, so don’t miss out on workshops designed to help attendees access capital, use social media, and structure new entrepreneurs. Following the workshops will be a networking reception and resource fair.
San Gennaro Feast
In case you haven’t heard, the San Gennaro Feast will run from Wednesday, May 7 to Sunday, May 11 and is back at the Grand Canyon Shopping Center near Grand Canyon and Flamingo. This year there are an anticipated 250 vendors with the usual street fair, food, entertainment, retailers and rides for the whole family to enjoy. Cost of admission is $9 for individuals, or $14 per couple, children under 54″ tall enter for free. If you want to get out and enjoy this beautiful spring weather, the San Gennaro Feast might just be the medicine.
