It’s Saint Patrick’s Day weekend, and there is a lot going on around the Las Vegas valley this week. With beautiful weather in the 70’s and the trees in full bloom it is time once again to whip out that corned beef and cabbage and drink some green beer in celebration of spring. If you want to get the whole family out and about and do some networking with friends and businesses, there is no doubt that this weekend is the time to do just that. Some of the events that are sure to bring fun and laughter as well as get out of the house to enjoy this spring weather are:
Henderson St Patrick’s Day Festival & Parade
If you live on the east side of the valley there is no doubt that you have been to an event on Water Street in Downtown Henderson. This weekend (Thursday through Sunday) is the St. Patrick’s Day Festival in the Henderson Events Plaza. The carnival and rides are open daily along with food vendors and gift and craft vendors inside of the Henderson Convention Center on the corner of Water Street and Atlantic Avenue. The annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade down Water Street will be held Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 10am with a Car Show starting at Noon.
Downtown Las Vegas Parade & Firefighter Challenge
Looking for some St. Patrick’s Day fun in Las Vegas shouldn’t be a challenge this year. Like most every Irish Pub in town will have celebrations running through the weekend with beer and food specials, but if you are looking for something a bit more family friendly this is a must see. Starting at Noon on Monday head to Downtown Fremont Street and Main and heading east will be a succession of green clad firefighters kicking off the St. Patrick’s Day Parade. At the end of the parade route and starting at 2:30pm will be the Firefighter Fun Challenge, with a $2500 Grand Prize, this will consist of 5 events held at Downtown 3rd.
Need some down time between the excitement? Restore your energy with a drop-in class at the Angel Blessings Wellness Spa on Monday, March 17, 2014. If it’s your first class it’s Free, and is ideal to restore your energy and get you ready for a full day of parades, shenanigans and enjoying time with your friends around town. Held weekly with the Nevada Holistic Chamber of Commerce, this yoga class is lead by Joan Lembo and great for networking with a relaxed group.
Whether you are looking for shenanigans and beer, a fun day out with the whole family at a festival full of classic cars and food, or a way to relax, there is plenty going on around the Las Vegas Valley this weekend. Don’t miss a thing. View the Full Calendar Here.
